In January 2019, the Reproductive Health Act was passed which was co-sponsored by my opponent Carrie Woerner, the elected official representing District 113. As a proud father of two small children, Evelyn and Edward, I was disheartened that this type of legislation was a product of the Upstate Community which my family and I call home. After prayerful consideration, and with the support of my family, I have chosen to seek the Republican endorsement for the 2020 race for NYS Assembly.
I have been actively involved in the business community as the President of the Malta Business and Professional Association, and as of January 1st, I will sit on the Board of Directors for both the Chamber of Southern Saratoga County and Capital Region Chamber of Commerce. I have built my career in Real Estate Development and currently serve as the Director of Marketing for a property management company in Malta, NY. As your elected official, I will work to support legislation which protects small businesses, support your second amendment rights, support the right to life, and religious freedoms. My focus will be on rebuilding our infrastructure, and ensuring we have access to clean water, and safe roads to drive on.
As you can see, I am excited at the possibility of serving the people of this great state. But before I can serve, I must conduct a very aggressive campaign.
To be successful in this endeavor it will take a very strong and robust grass roots organization. With thousands of doors to knock on, hundreds of yard signs to place, scores of events to attend, and two counties to cover, I will need your help.
This is a race I can win, but only with your support. Our families deserve to be represented by a candidate who will protect and uphold our values and fight back against the liberal agenda in New York State.
I am turning to the people who have made an impact in our community and humbly inviting you to get involved in my campaign.
Will you join my campaign?
Thank you in advance for your support and encouragement.
Michael York, Republican Candidate for NYS Assembly
